SUMMER ADVENTURES on the Hill!

Are you looking for something other than the average summer day camp program for your teen or tween?  Do they like learning about the past?  Do they like being outdoors? If the answers to all of these questions are yes, then do we have the Education Economic Stimulus Package for you! Join us at Hickory Hill for our Summer Day Camps.

We kick off the summer with Eco-Adventures.  This week-long day camp is for kids age 10 to 16 years.

Explore the outdoors and learn what it means to be green.  Learn about gardening, water quality, composting, recycling, native animals, and more!  We have the most amazing heirloom garden! The upcycled art projects are fascinating.  Ever hear of seed bombs?

2013 Dates:  June 10 - 14 and June 24 - 28

Cost: $60 per child per week

In July we heat things up with Dig History an archaeology day camp for kids age 11 to 17.  In Dig History explore ancient hunting  methods, learn what our garbage says about us, and work with professional archaeologists to excavate the Jeffersonian Publishing Plant site.  This is a great hands-on introduction to a science most people never get to experience.    Sorry, no dinosaurs in this camp, folks.

2013 Dates: July 8 - 12

Cost: $60 per child

All camps take place at Hickory Hill and run from 9:00am - 4:00pm daily.
